This custom lakefront home in Lake Oswego already had strong architectural bones, but the exterior details needed the same level of attention. The dock was worn, the boathouse was forgotten, and the property felt unfinished. We were brought in to change that.
Our first step was the dock. Years of use and exposure had taken their toll, so we tore it down to the frame and started fresh. We rebuilt it using Timbertech AZEK decking in Coastline, trimmed in Dark Hickory. Every board was installed with hidden Camo wedge fasteners and Cortex plugs to keep the surface crisp and clean. Beneath the deck, we reinforced the frame to ensure the dock wouldn’t just look great—it would hold strong through the seasons.
Next, we turned to the interior of the boathouse. The space was stripped and updated with smooth-faced James Hardie fiber cement panels. We trimmed it all out with clean-lined aluminum from Tamlyn and used stainless steel fasteners to withstand the damp lake air. Now, the boathouse is no longer an afterthought. It’s clean, practical, and ready for use.
We enclosed the property with a custom “Good-Neighbor” style fence. The fence features galvanized steel posts, tight-knot cedar, and clear cedar, all stained to match the siding. A powder-coated steel gate with a keyed locking handle added a secure and finished touch.
