The backyard patio had potential, but a broken door and deteriorating steps made it uninviting. The rainy Northwest weather limited the homeowner’s ability to enjoy their hot tub or entertain outdoors, leaving them dreaming of a space that was functional, weatherproof, and visually striking for gatherings.

To bring their vision to life, we replaced the old door and stairs with elegant French doors and constructed a TimberTech composite deck featuring a custom basket-weave inlay that became a centerpiece. A clear polycarbonate cover ensured year-round usability, while the deck’s design connected seamlessly to the hot tub, making it practical even in the rain.

Unique additions, like a custom swinging bed and LED riser lights, elevated the space, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Horizontal stainless steel cable guard rails provided a modern touch, while a retaining wall and repurposed interlocking pavers improved the backyard’s layout. A wrap-around step led to the finished “she-shed,” completing this stunning transformation into a weatherproof retreat perfect for relaxing or entertaining.
